RE: BLD20190803 Party Room
Dear Denise,
Please find my responses to the various department feedback, below. I have also provided additional
attachments and drawings related to the comments and responses. From our last conversation at the
permit counter, I was able to get the letter from the surveyor but it did take a little while. Please let me
know if there are other questions and I will strive to respond as quickly as possible.
Planning Comments (Amber Groll)
Below response is to address each of the points mentioned in the review comments:
1. Regarding the ADU, I have completed the necessary form/affidavit and turned in per my
conversation with Denise.
Building Division Comments (Donovan Akau)
Below responses are to address each of the points mentioned in the review comments:
1. See #2.
2. Per our in -person discussion at the permit counter, I have reviewed with my land
surveyor who has provided the topographical map and official letter stating that the
building is located above the flood plain. Both are attached in this response. Based on
our conversations, this should be sufficient in lieu of a formal FEMA certificate to show
that the building is elevated above the high water flood mark.
3. 1 have submitted the affidavit paperwork requested by the Planning Department.
Engineering Comments (Jeanie McConnell)
Below responses are to address each of the points mentioned in the review comments, in
addition I have provided a revised set of drawings.
1. Updated plans show driveway to street, and edges of pavement, and the existing
surface has been updated.
2. Though not requested, the driveway dimensions have been reduced, along with the
total area, to reduce costs and also to avoid triggering a 2000sf threshold.
3. No response required as we do not have any intention of triggering any stormwater
requirements.
4. Standard detail has been added per discussions at the permit desk.
S. Note as been added to revised drawings
6. Sewer main and easements are now shown on the drawings
7. Driveway slope calculation has been added to the drawings.
8. No response required.
Best regards,
Paul Trieu
