In response to your letter of September 24, 2019 regarding permit BLD2019-1001 the following answers are provided:
1. A new as-built drawing signed by an architect is submitted with notations cited
toanswer questions not clear from previous drawings on file at the city
2. a. Type of construction is IIIA
b. The building has a fully sprinkled fire suppression system
c. Our leased spaceis in the basement of a one story with basement structure
3. Occupancy group information has been added to the submitted drawing
4. Occupancy load information is also indicated on the new submitted drawing
5. The drawing also indicates that the fire wall on the south is a 2-hour wall with
Two layers of 5/8” sheetrock on our side of the wall and known sheetrock on the
other sideof the wall.
6. An accessible front counter is in place and indicated on the new drawing
7. a. All usable doors have lever handles
b. The main entrance door is a 3” 0” door
c. The main bathroom is an accessible restroom
8. A new site plan drawing has been submitted that designates an accessible
parking space opposite the main entrance, with a stripped access isle adjacent
to the parking space and a 44” wide accessible path leading across the alley
9. We now have a permit and have the furnace scheduled for inspection.
Hopefully, this is satisfactory and will bring us into compliance.
