RE: Application #: ENG2021-0044
Project: Replace Existing BO Pole
Project Address: 1141 Viewland Way
During review of the above noted application, it was found that the following information,
corrections, or clarifications are needed. Please submit revised plans/documents including a
written response to each item below.
City of Edmonds handouts, standard details, application and other forms, and development code
may be referenced on the City website: www.edmondswa.gov under Services/Permits and
Development.
CONSTRUCTION PLANS
1. The city requires a clear zone of 10' from the travel lane. Please show a minimum 10'
separation from the travel lane on 12th Ave W and the new pole. Please explain if this
cannot be achieved.
Ans: The new proposed pole location will be at least 10' away from the edge of traveled lane.
2. Please ensure that the new pole has a minimum 5' separation from city utilities (Water
Main, Fire Hydrant and Water Main Blowoff). I will provide a survey for the water
system from when it was installed.
Ans: Moving the proposed pole location from tight Southwest to tight South will get it further
away from the Fire Hydrant and will have at least 5' separation.
3. The proposed location is tight SW. The city would prefer to either replace in place, tight
south or tight east. Please explain if this cannot be achieved.
Ans: The proposed pole location will be changed from tight Southwest to tight South.
