R Signatures on Page 1 Edmonds Elementary School Report #5 Page 4 of 10 Job No. 9009-07C5 Observations Continued: 5.6 Buildin Area-D: Mechanical penetration areas are marked -out on the surface of the roof membrane. 5.7 Building Areas B and D: At the night tie -offs, Sopravap'r self -adhered flashing is installed extending approximately 6-inches onto the new and existing roofing assemblies. The perimeter edge of the self - adhered flashing on the existing roof assembly is sealed with asphalt mastic. Penetrations extending through the ni ht tie -offs are sealed with sealant. �o \ mV W�Sd 5.8 Safety anchors have arrived on -site and will be installed at a later time. y Signatures on Page 1 Edmonds Elementary School Report #5 Page 5 of 10 Job No. 9009-07C5 Observations Continued: 5.9 At the Building Area D, the _ '.A y.; 5.10 At the perimeter of Building Area B, pre -constructed 2x wood framed roof curbs are installed nailed to the existing wood framing. The roof curbs are infilled with fiberglass insulation batts and enclosed with '/z-inch thick plywood sheathin . 2 5.11 Building Area B: Prior to installation of the baseflashing reinforcing ply, Sika Sikaflex 1 a sealant is gun - applied at the joint between the perimeter wood curb and the roof deck, as well as vertical joints of the wood curbs. r Signatures on Page 1 Edmonds Elementary School Report #5 Page 6 of 10 Job No. 9009-07C5 Observations Continued: 5.12 Building Area B: Elastocol Stick Primer is roller -applied onto the surface of the roof and interior vertical face of the wood curb. A gap observed between the substrate board and the wood curb is infilled with insulation prior to cover. 5.13 Building Area B: Prior to installation of the Sopralene Flam Stick, the membrane is measured and cut in the field as needed. 5.14 Building Area B: A strip of Sopralene Flam Stick is installed at the roof -to -curb transition. The membrane is installed self -adhered extending approximately 5-inches onto the surface of the roof and interior face of the curb. A silicone roller was utilized to press -in the membrane at the laps to promote adhesion. Signatures on Page 1 Edmonds Elementary School Report #5 Job No. 9009-07C5 Observations Continued: 5.15 Page 7 of 10 Building Area B: At the roof -to -curb transitions, cant strips are installed prior to installation of the additional Sopralene Flam Stick basesheet lapped onto the existing field membrane. Sopralene Flam New Problem Items and Solutions: 5.16 At Building Area-B, areas of damage were observed in the Soprema Sopralene Flam 180 interply. Per discussion with the on -site foreman, these locations are temporarily sealed with sealant and will be hatched with additional Sopralene Flam 180 prior to cover. Signatures on Page 1 Edmonds Elementary School Report #5 Page 8 of 10 Job No. 9009-07C5 Outstanding Problems and Solutions: 4.13 At Building Area-C, west roof area, safety anchors are installed mechanically fastened through the newly installed Sopralene Flam Stick. Once the safety anchors are removed, holes in the roof membrane should be addressed in accordance with manufacturer's instructions. 4.14 At the night tie -offs, deficiencies were observed in the Soprema Sopravap'r self -adhered flashing. Per discussion with the on -site foreman, these locations will be addressed b the end of the da . As discussed with Wayne's, the carpenters have been notified and the condition will be further reviewed to determine the extent of the rot and repairs.
