AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS, WASHINGTON
PROVIDING FOR THE ACQUISITION FOR PUBLIC PARK
PURPOSES OF CERTAIN PARCELS OF PROPERTY; PROVIDING
FOR THE AUTHORIZATION OF THE CITY ATTORNEY TO
INITIATE PROCEEDINGS FOR CONDEMNATION,. APPROPRIATION,
TAKING AND DAMAGING OF LAND AND OTHER PROPERTY NEC-
ESSARY THEREFOR; AND PROVIDING FOR PAYMENT THEREOF.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS, WASHINGTON
DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The public health, necessity and convenience
demand and the City Council so finds, that parks be estab-
lished in the locations described and set forth in Appendix "A"
attached hereto.
Section 2. All lands, rights, privileges and other prop-
erty within the limits of the lots, blocks and tracts of land
described in Appendix "A" hereof are hereby condemned, approp-
riated, taken and damaged for public use and necessity for
public park purposes; and all such lands, rights, privileges
and other property are to be taken, damaged and appropriated
only after just compensation has been made or paid into court
for the owners thereof in the manner provided by law.
Section 3. The entire cost of the improvement provided
for herein shall be paid by the City of Edmonds from general
funds applicable thereto, to wit, from the Park Site Acquisi-
tion Fund.
Section 4. The City Attorney is hereby authorized and
directed to begin and prosecute the proceeding provided by
law to condemn, take, appropriate and damage the land, rights,
privileges and other property necessary to carry out the pro-
visions of this Ordinance, and is further authorized in con-
ducting said proceedings and for the purpose of minnimumizing
damages to stipulate as to the use of the property hereby
authorized to be condemned and appropriated and as to the
reservation of any right of use to any owner, provided that
such reservation does not interfere with the use of said prop-
erty by the City as provided by this Ordinance.

All that portion of Tideland Lot 2 of Edmonds Tidelands,
in Section 23, Township 27 North, Range 3 East, W.M.,
described as follows:
Beginning at the Northwest corner of Lot 6, Block 13,
Plat of Edmonds, according to plat thereof recorded in
volume 1 of plats, page 26, records of Snohomish County,
Washington; thence North 61008' West to intersect the
Government meander line, the true point of beginning of
this description; thence North 39031100" East, along
said meander line, for 61.04 feet, more or less, to
intersect the Northerly line of Bell Street produced
Westerly; thence North 61008' West along Northerly line
of said Bell Street produced Westerly, for 403.52 feet,
more or less, to Inner Harbor Line; thence South
24,011'00" West along said Inner Harbor Line to a point
which is North 61008' West to point of beginning; thence

Beginning at the meander corner between Sections 23 and
24, Township 27 North, Range 3 East, W.M.; thence
South 89042" West along North line said Tideland Lot 1
a distance of 924.24 feet to Inner Harbor Line; thence
South 24011' West along said Inner Harbor Line 481.15
feet; thence South 61008' East 608.49 feet to meander
line; thence along said meander line North 39031' East
864.96 feet; thence North 28042' East 86.22 feet to the
point of beginning; EXCEPT portion thereof lying within
right of way of Great Northern Railroad.
PARCEL 2-C
That portion of Tideland Lot 1, Plat of Edmonds Tidelands
in front of Upland Lot 1, Section 23, Township 27 North,
Range 3 East, W.M. described as follows:
Commencing at the intersection of the Government meander
line and North line of Edmonds Street extended Westerly
in its platted direction according to Plat of Edmonds
according to plat thereof recorded in volume 1. of plats,
page 26; thence North 39031' East along said meander
line 347.68 feet; thence North 61008' West 608.49 feet
to Inner Harbor Line; thence South 24011' West along said
Inner Harbor Line 342.89 feet to intersect Westerly
extension of Northerly line of said Edmonds Street;
thence South 61008' East along said Northerly line
516.53 feet, more or less, to point of beginning.

That portion of Government Lot 1, Section 23, Township
27 North, Range 3 East, W.M., described as follows:
Commencing at the intersection of the Government
meander line with the Norhterly line of Edmonds Street
extended Westerly in its platted direction according
to Plat of Edmonds, according to plat thereof recorded
in volume 1 of plats, page 26; thence North 39031' East
along said meander line 347.68 feet; thence South
61008' East to intersect center line of right of
way of Great Northern Railroad; thence Southwesterly
along said center line to intersect Southerly line of
said Edmonds Street; thence North 61008' West along
Southerly line of said Edmonds Street and Westerly
extension thereof to intersect said meander line; thence
North 39031' East along said meander line 60.3 feet to
the point of beginning; EXCEPT portion thereof lying
within right of way of Great Northern Railroad and
EXCEPT portion thereof lying within said Edmonds Street

along Southerly line of Edmonds Street extended West-
erly in its platted direction according to said plat
to intersect Inner Harbor Line; thence South 1�011'

intersect Northerly line of Bell Street extended
Westerly in its platted direction according to said
