AID PROVIDING PENALTIES.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE, CITY OF EDMONDS, 1.11ASHINGTON
DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOdS :
Section 1. There is hereby created a new chapter of
the Edmonds City Code, Chapter 5.80, Park Regulations, which
chapter shall consist of the follaRiing two sections:
"Section 5.80.010 Park Closing Hours. All public parks,
beaches and playgrounds owned by, leased or otherwise
under the direct supervision of -tile City of Edmonds,
shall be closed between -the hours of 10 o'clock p.m.
and 6 o'clock a.m, each and every day, unless otherwise
posted by the City Part, and Recreation Department. It
shall be unla�ful for any person to loiter on, remain
in, or otherwise be on said premises between the stated
hours unless written permission is granted by the xtayor
or a department head of said City.
Section 5.80.020 Specially Designated Hours by Posting.
The Director of Parks and Recreation is hereby authorized
to post a notice or notices as the case may be of closing
hours for public parks, beaches and ?playgrounds as
described in Section 5.80.010 to set forth different
hours of closure than those set forth in said section.
The -posted notice or notices shall set forth tile hours
of closure for said premises and shall be placed in a
conspicuous place or places at each drive-in or pedes-
trian access pro-vided by the City of Edmonds to said
park, beach or playgroimid. In the event the Park and
Recreation Director modifies the hours of closure as
provided herein, he shall maintain a list of said parks,
beaches and playgrounds in which said modified closing
hours are in effect, shall file a copy with the City
Clerk, and said list shall be open and available for
public inspection. In the event the hours of closure
are modified as herein provided for any park, beach or
playground it shall be unlawful to loiter on, remain in,
or otherwise be on said premises during the hours as
posted by the Director of Parks and Recreation as pro-
vided herein."
Section 2. Any person or persons who shall violate or
fail to comply with any of the provisions of this Ordinance,
or any part thereof, shall upon conviction of said violation
be punished by a fine, or by imprisonment in jail, or by both
such fine and imprisonment as set forth in Section 5.12.170
of the Edmonds City Code which section by this reference is
incorporated herein as if set forth in full.
