Ordinance 1512ORDINANCE NO. /5/.Z AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS AMENDING THE OFFICIAL ZONING MAP, EDMONDS, WASHINGTON BY CHANGING THE ZONING CLASSIFICATION OF CERTAIN PROPERTY TO MULTIPLE RESIDENTIAL LOW - DENSITY (RML), OVERRULING PLANNING COMMISSION RESOLUTION NO. 336, AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE A CONTRACT RELATING THERETO. WHEREAS, pursuant to public hearing having been called by the city council in accordance with planning commission Resolution No. 336, and said city council having determined that Multiple Residential, Low Density (RML) would be the most consistent and advantageous for the development and appropriate use of certain property legally described below, said property abutting a major arterial and in the proximity of commercial development, said subject property being compatible with adjacent single family residential uses, the proposed and present use not being substantial traffic generators, provided that the applicant satisfy certain additional limitations suggested by the applicant by contract; now, therefore, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS, WASHINGTON, DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. The Official Zoning Map, Edmonds, Washington, be and the same is hereby amended by changing the zoning classification of the following described property to Multiple Residential, Low Density (RML), all situate in the City of Edmonds, County of Snohomish, State of Washington: That portion of the NE 1/4 of the SW 1/4 of the SW 1/4 of Section 25, Township 27 N., Range 3 E.W.M., lying northeasterly of paved county road more par- ticularly described as follows: / 99 Beginning at the NE corner of said NE 1/4 of the SW 1/4 of the SW 1/4; thence north 88°32'07" West 516.90 feet to the northeasterly line paved county road; thence south 39°05' east along said road for 534.9 feet to the true point of beginning; thence continuing south 39°05' east along said road line for 80 feet; thence north 50°55' east to east line of said NE 1/4 of SW 1/4 of SW 1/4; thence north along said east line to a point which is north 50055' east of the true point of beginning; thence south 50°55' west to the true point of beginning; AND That portion of the NE 1/4 of the SW 1/4 of the SW 1/4 of Section 25, Township 27 N., Range 3 E.W.M., lying Northeasterly of paved County road, EXCEPT roads, more particularly described as follows: Beginning at the NE corner of said NE 1/4 of the SW 1/4 of the SW 1/4; thence North 88°32107" west 516.90 feet to the northeasterly line of paved county road; thence south 39°05' east along said road line 434.30 feet to the true point of beginning; thence north 50055' east 162 feet; thence south 39005' east 100 feet; thence south 50°55' west 162 feet to the northeasterly line of said road; thence north 39005' west 100 feet to the point of beginning. Section 2. The City Engineer is hereby directed to effectuate the necessary amendments to the Official Zoning Map of Edmonds, Washington, pursuant to this Ordinance. Section 3. The Mayor is hereby authorized to execute that contract proferred by the owners of the above legally described property and the City Clerk is authorized to attest to said execution and record the same with the County Auditor.
