AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS, WASHINGTON,
AMENDING THE SIGN CODE OF SAID CITY BY DELETING
SECTIONS 11.36.030 THROUGH 11.36.050 REGARDING
CERTAIN DEFINITIONS, PERMIT APPROVALS AND EXEMP-
TIONS, AMENDING THE PERMIT FEE SCHEDULE SET FORTH
IN SECTION 11.36.060, AND AMENDING SECTION 11.36.070
AND TABLE NO. 9A RELATIVE TO MAXIMUM PROJECTION
AND SURFACE.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS, WASHINGTON
DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The following Sections of the Edmonds
City Code are hereby repealed: Sections 11.36.030 through
11.36.050.
Section 2. The Edmonds City Code,5ection 11.36.060
is hereby amended to read as follows:
"Section 11.36.060 Fees Amendment 'of'.S S-304.
Chapter 3, Section S-304 of the Uniform Sign Code
is hereby amended by certain additions and deletions,
and the same is hereby set forth as amended:
"Sec. S-304 (a) The following sign permit fees
shall be charged: There shall be a minimum fee for
all permits of $3.00 plus 10 cents per square foot
of sign area.
(b) Plan Checking Fee. In addition to the permit
fee set forth above a plan checking fee shall be
paid, where the services of a structural engineer
are required by the building official and shall be
based on a cost basis for services rendered by the
structural engineer."
Section 3. The Edmonds City Code, Section 11.36.070,
is hereby amended to read as follows:
"Section 11.36.070 Protection of wall sicns -
Amendment of § 5-903. Chapter 9, Section S-903 of the
Uniform Sign Code is hereby amended by the deletion
of Table No. 9-A, and the substitution therefore of
the table hereinafter set forth, and Section 5-903 is
Hereby set forth as amended:
Projection Sec. 5-903. No wall sign shall have a
projection over public property or beyond
a building line greater than the distances
set forth in Table No. 9-A, nor shall
extend above any adjacent parapet or roof
of the supporting building. No sign or
sign structure shall project into any
public alley whatsoever, below a height of
fourteen feet above grade, nor more than
six inches when over fourteen feet.
The thickness of that portion of a
wall sign which projects over public pro-
perty or a building line shall not exceed
the maximum as set forth in Table No. 9-B.
