AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS, WASHINGTON,
AMENDING THE OFFICIAL ZONING MAP OF SAID CITY BY
CHANGING THE ZONING CLASSIFICATION OF CERTAIN PRO-
PERTY FROM SINGLE FAMILY RESIDENTIAL (RS-12 AND
RS-20) TO PLANNED RESIDENTIAL DEVELOPMENT (.PRD),
PURSUANT TO PLANNING COMMISSION AND CITY COUNCIL
APPROVAL OF PLANNING DEPARTMENT FILE NUMBERS PRD-1-81
AND PRD-2-81 AND FIXING A TIME WHEN THE SAME SHALL
BECOME EFFECTIVE.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Edmonds,
Washington, pursuant to proper notice, held a public hearing on a
proposed planned residential development (PRD) amendment to the
official zoning map of said city and has given design review approval,
subject to certain specified conditions, and
WHEREAS, the City Council having determined that the
recommended PRD designation would be the most appropriate to provide
for the most advantageous development and use of said property, and
that said classification would be in the interest of the public
health, safety and general welfare, and
WHEREAS, the City Council concurs in the findings of the
City's responsible official that there will be no significant
adverse environmental impact from that action, now, therefore,
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS, WASH.INGTON, DO
ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS;
Section 1. The Official Zoning Map of Edmonds, Washington,
is hereby amended by changing the classification of the following
described property from Single Family Residential (_RS-12 and RS-20)
to Planned Residential Development (.PRD) such property being
entirely situate in the City of Edmonds, Snohomish County, Washington,
and legally described as set forth -in Exhibit A, attached hereto
and incorporated by reference as if fully set forth.herein.
Section 2. The Planning Department Director is hereby
directed to effectuate the necessary amendments to the Official
Zoning Map of the City of Edmonds, Washington, pursuant to
Section 1 of this ordinance.
Section 3. The PRD Development shall be developed in
conformance with the ordinances of the City of Edmonds and the
covenants, statements of intent, dedications, conditions, maps,
plats, plans and exhibits submitted to the City Council for
final PRD approval, which are and have been on file with the
Planning Department under File Numbers PRD-1-81 and PRD-2-81.
Section 4. This ordinance shall be in full force and
effect five (5) days after passage and publication by posting as
provided by law.
