AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS, WASHINGTON
AMENDING THE ORIGINAL 1971 BUDGET AS ADOPTED BY
ORDINANCE NO. 1511 BY AUTHORIZING RECEIPT AND
EXPENDITURE OF FUNDS WITHIN THE ENGINEERING
DEPARTMENT AND BY INCREASING CAPITAL OUTLAY
(CONSTRUCTION EXPENDITURES) IN THE WATER AND
SEWER DEPARTMENT BY UTILIZATION OF UNEXPENDED
APPROPRIATION BALANCE OF THE PRECEDING BUDGET.
WHEREAS, at the time of preparation of the 1971
Budget, as adopted by Ordinance No. 1511, receipt of state
funds had not been confirmed nor authorization provided for
expenditure in anticipation of receipt thereof, and
WHEREAS, at the time of preparation and adoption of
said 1971 Budget the unexpended appropriation balance of
the Water and Sewer Fund was estimated but not fully known,
and
WHEREAS, the above two referenced items have since
the adoption of the 1971 Budget become confirmed and known
as to dollar amount, now, therefore
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS, WASHINGTON
DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
The 1971 Budget, as adopted by Ordinance No. 1511,
be and the same is hereby amended as follows:
1. The Current Expense Fund, City Engineer, Mainten-
ance & Operation, Professional Consulting & Surveying
(9.234) is hereby amended by increasing said authorized
expenditure in the additional sum of $17,333.51 from funds
to be received in excess of estimated revenues from the
State of Washington under Agreement Nos. GC-2756 and
GC-2840.
2. The Water & Sewer Fund, Capital Outlay, Con-
struction Expenditures (19.312) is hereby amended by

increasing the same in the additional sum of $63,363.82
from the unexpended appropriation balance of the preceding
budget, and authorization is hereby made to expend from
said amended budgeted item the sum of $81,347.93 for
City participation in Local Improvement District No. 164.
