ORDINANCE NO. 2544
FOLLOWS:
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS, WASHINGTON,
SETTING THE SALARY OF THE EDMONDS' MUNICIPAL
JUDGE, PROVIDING FOR THE PAYMENT OF JUDGES PRO
TEM AND FIXING A TIME WHEN THE SAME SHALL
BECOME EFFECTIVE.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF EDMONDS, WASHINGTON, DO ORDAIN AS
Section 1. The Edmonds municipal Judge shall be
compensated at an hourly rate of $35.00 per hour served, not to
exceed the amount budgeted of $30,000.00 annually.
Section 2. When a Judge Pro Tem is needed, the Judge
Pro Tem shall be compensated at the rate of $27.00 per hour
served. All sums paid to Judges Pro Tem shall reduce the annual
sums payable to the municipal Judge.
Section 3. Terms of employment for the Judge and Judge
Pro Tem shall be governed by employment contracts between the
individual and the City and the provisions of Chapter 2.15 of the
Edmonds City Code as the same exists or is hereafter amended.
Section 4. This ordinance, being an exercise of a
power specifically delegated to the City legislative body, is not
subject to referendum, and shall take effect five (5) days after
npssage and publication as provided by law. The City Clerk is
authorized and instructed to publish this ordinance or a summary
thereof consisting of its title.
