ORDINANCE NO. 2555
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS, WASHINGTON,
AMENDING SECTION 8.64.030, PARAGRAPH 25, RE-
LATING TO THE WEST SIDE AND TERMINUS OF OCEAN
AVENUE, AMENDING SECTION 8.64.050 ESTABLISHING
A NEW SUBSECTION (B), CREATING A SCHEDULE PRO-
HIBITING STOPPING, STANDING OR PARKING ON
SPECIFIED STREETS, INCLUDING OCEAN AVENUE,
AMENDING SECTION 8.64.065 TO LIMIT PARKING ON
OCEAN AVENUE TO TWO (2) HOURS BETWEEN THE HOURS
OF 8:00 A.M. AND DUSK, AMENDING SECTION 8.48.150
BY ADDITION OF A NEW SUBSECTION (B), PROHIBITING
STOPPING, STANDING OR PARKING DURING CERTAIN
HOURS ON CERTAIN STREETS WITH NO WEEKEND
EXCLUSION PROVIDED AND FIXING A TIME WHEN THE
SAME SHALL BECOME EFFECTIVE
THE CITY COUNCIL OF EDMONDS, WASHINGTON, DO ORDAIN AS
Section 1. Section 8.64.030 relating to Schedule III,
Parking Prohibited (25) to read as follows:
25. The terminus and west side of Ocean Avenue
excepting only five (5) parking places designated by
the City Engineer.
Section 2. Section 8.64.050 Schedule V, relating to
the prohibition of stopping, standing or parking during certain
hours on certain streets is hereby amended to read as follows:
8.64.050 Schedule V - Stopping, Standing or Parking
During Certain Hours on Certain Streets Prohibited.
A. In accordance with section 8.48.150 and when signs
are erected giving notice thereof, no person shall
stop, stand or park any vehicle between the hours
specified in this section of any day, except
Sundays and holidays, within the district or upon
any of the streets or parts of streets as follows:

B. In accordance with section 8.48.155 and when signs
are erected giving notice thereof, no person shall
stop, stand or park any vehicle between the hours
specified in this section of any day whatsoever

parts of streets as follows:

hereby amended by the addition of a new subsection 8 to read as
follows:

Section 4. Section 8.48.150 Stopping, Standing or
Parking Prohibited During Certain Hours on Certain Streets is
hereby amended to read as follows:

A. When signs are erected in each block, giving
notice thereof, no person shall stop, stand or
park a vehicle between the hours specified in
section 8.64.050(A) of any day except Sundays and

the public holidays specified in section 8.48.140
above, within the district or upon any of the
streets described in section 8.64.050.
B. When signs are erected in each block giving notice
thereof, no person shall stop, stand or park a
vehicle between the hours specified in section
8.64.050(B) of any day whatsoever within the
district or upon any of the streets described in
section 8.64.050(B).
Section 5. This ordinance, being an administrative
action, is not subject to referendum and shall take effect five
(5) days after publication of a summary thereof, in the City's
official newspaper.

On March 18, 1986, the Clfy Council of the City of - Ed -
man passed Ordinance No. 2554' which provides as foi-
lows:
Section 1. Amending Section 4.50.020 EXEMPTIONS: to
delete provisions requiring exempted social and athletic

effective.
