AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS, WASHINGTON,
AMENDING THE COMPREHENSIVE LAND USE PLAN OF
THE CITY OF EDMONDS, WASHINGTON, BY RE -DESIGNATING
CERTAIN PROPERTY FROM MULTI -FAMILY RESIDENTIAL
TO SINGLE FAMILY RESIDENTIAL, FROM COMMERCIAL
TO MULTI -FAMILY RESIDENTIAL, AND FROM PARK TO
MULTI -FAMILY RESIDENTIAL IN SAID CITY PURSUANT
TO PLANNING COMMISSION RESOLUTION NO. 383.
WHEREAS, pursuant to Edmonds Planning Commission
Resolution No. 383, the City Council of the City of Edmonds,
Washington, having called a public hearing, and having
determined that the Comprehensive Land Use Plan should be
amended with respect to the properties legally described below,
said amendments being within the purview of the existing docu-
mentation of said Edmonds Comprehensive Plan, now, therefore,
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS, WASHINGTON,
DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The Comprehensive Land Use Plan of the
Edmonds Comprehensive Plan is hereby amended by changing the
designation of the following described property from Multi -
Family Residential to Single Family Residential:
A. The three blocks bounded on the north
by Pine Street, on the east by Fourth Avenue South,
on the south by Elm Street and on the west by
First Avenue South. Also the block between Third
Avenue South and Fourth Avenue South between
Howell Way and Pine Street.
B. That portion of Lots 1 and 2, Block 2,
v Plat of Alderwood Manor No. 9, bounded on the
north by a westerly projection of the south
boundary of Lot 32, Robert E. Thomas 2nd
Addition, And on the south by a westerly pro-
jection of the south boundary of Lot 35, Robert E.
Thomas 2nd Addition. This property can be
described generally as a tract of land lying
west of 83rd Ave. W. and about halfway between the
Tradewell Store at Five Corners and 208th Street S.W.
C. A rectangular tract of land 170 feet wide
extending from 234th St. S.W. to 236th St. S.W.
and lying along the west line of the plat of
Harvey's Addition. And a tract of land on the south
side of 236th St. S.W. in the vicinity of 78th.Ave.
W. generally including Lots 1, 2, 6 & 7 of the Plat of
Willowbrook, Div. #1; tracts 4 & 5, Block 3, Fruit-
land Acres, Div. #2; and Tract No. 1, Block 1,
Fruitland Acres.
Section 2. The Comprehensive Land Use Plan of the
Edmonds Comprehensive Plan is hereby amended by changing the
designation of the following described property from Commercial
to Multi -Family:
A. The south 480 feet of Lot 23, Solners 5
Acre Tracts and the west portion of Lots 29 and
30, Solner's Five Acre Tracts lying west of a
line 320 feet west of and parallel to, the west
margin of U.S. 99. This property can be described
generally as lying between Stevens Memorial Hospital
and U.S. 99 and between 214th St. S.W. and 218th
St. S.W.
B. A tract of land on the south side of
220th St. S.W.,beginning approximately 157 feet
east of the 76th St. intersection, extending
eastward 180 feet along 220th St. S.W., and
southward 190 feet from the street.
Section 3. The Comprehensive Land Use Plan of the
Edmonds Comprehensive Plan is hereby amended by changing the
designation of the following described property from Park to
Multi -Family:
A. A square tract of land on the north side
of 230th St. S.W. extending northward 300 feet
from the street right-of-way and westward 300
feet from the west right-of-way line of 76th Ave. W.
Section 4.
The City Engineer of the City of Edmonds is
hereby directed to effectuate the necessary amendment to said
Comprehensive Land Use Plan of the Edmonds Comprehensive Plan
pursuant to this Ordinance.
