AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS, WASHINGTON,
AMENDING THE OFFICIAL ZONING ORDIANCE OF THE
CITY OF EDMONDS BY CHANGING THE PERMITTED USES
IN COMMUNITY BUSINESS ZONE (BC), REMOVING THE
REQUIREMENT OF A SEPARATION OF 500 FEET BETWEEN
ANY SCHOOL GROUND, PUBLIC PARK, PLAYGROUND,
OR CHURCH AND ANY ESTABLISHMENT HANDLING ALCOHOLIC
BEVERAGES OR SERVING FOOD OUTSIDE OF BUILDING
BY AMENDING EDMONDS CITY CODE CHAPTER 12.13
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Edmonds,
Washington, pursuant to Planning Commission Resolution
No. 391, called a public hearing, and having during said
hearing determined it to be in the best interests and the
public health, safety and welfare, to amend the Edmonds
Zoning Ordinance as set forth below, now, therefore,
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS, WASHINGTON,
DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 12.13.200 of the Edmonds City Code setting
forth the restrictions on uses permitted in Community
Business Zones (BC), is hereby amended to delete subsection
(e)of Edmonds City Code, Section 12.13.200, to eliminate the
separation requirements between school grounds,.parks, play-
grounds or churches and establishments handling alcoholic
beverages or serving food outside buildings. The section
so deleted is set forth as follows:
12.13.200(e). Establishments dealing in any manner
with alcoholic beverages or establishments serving
food outside of buildings, or providing recreation
for commercial purposes (except commercial swimming
pools) shall locate no closer than 500 feet from
the exterior property boundary line of any
school grounds, public park, playground or church;
