ORDINANCE NO. 2637
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS, WASHINGTON,
AMENDING THE OFFICIAL STREET MAP TO REDUCE THE
REQUIRED RIGHT-OF-WAY FOR 80TH PLACE WEST, FROM
35 TO 25 FEET, DIRECTING THE AMENDMENT OF THE
OFFICIAL STREET MAP AND FIXING A TIME WHEN THE
SAME SHALL BECOME EFFECTIVE
WHEREAS, the right-of-way shown on the Master Street
Plan for 80th Place West is shown as 35 feet, and
WHEREAS, following public hearing on application ST-3-
87, the Council determines that it is in the public interest to
reduce such right-of-way that there is no reasonable likelihood
that 80th Place West will be developed as currently shown on the
Official Street Map and determining however that appropriate
pedestrian -/.utility easements should be accepted as part of this
reduction, NOW, THEREFORE
FOLLOWS:
THE CITY COUNCIL OF EDMONDS, WASHINGTON, DO ORDAIN AS
Section 1. The right-of-way established for 80th Place
West by the Official Street Map, heretofore adopted and amended
by the City Council, is and shall be reduced from 35 feet to 25
feet.
Section 2. The Community Services Director or his
designee shall amend the Official Street Map to conform to the
provisions of this ordinance.
Section 3. This ordinance, being an exercise of a power
specifically delegated to the City legislative body, is not

subject to referendum and shall take effect five (5) days after
passage and publication of the attached summary which is hereby
approved.
