AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS, WASHINGTON,
AMENDING SCHEDULE III OF SECTION 8.64.030 OF THE
EDMONDS CITY CODE PROHIBITING PARKING AT ALL TIMES
ON PORTIONS OF 76TH AVENUE WEST AND 212TH STREET
SOUTHWEST WITHIN SAID CITY AND AMENDING SCHEDULE VI-B
OF SECTION 8.64.067 OF THE EDMONDS CITY CODE LIMITING
PARKING FOR CERTAIN PERIODS OF TIME ON CERTAIN STREETS
BY DELETING SUCH LIMITATIONS ON A PORTION OF 76TH
AVENUE WEST AND IMPOSING SUCH RESTRICTIONS ON A
PORTION OF 212TH STREET SOUTHWEST WITHIN SAID CITY.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Edmonds, Washington,
has determined that it is in the best interest of the public health,
safety and welfare to regulate the parking of vehicles at all
times on certain portions of 76th Avenue West and 212th Street
Southwest within said city and to limit parking for certain
periods of time on certain portions of 212th Street Southwest
and to permit parking now limited on certain portions of 76th
Avenue West, now, therefore
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS, WASHINGTON, DO
ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Section 8.64.030, Schedule III is hereby
supplemented by prohibiting parking at all times, when signs are
erected giving notice thereof, on portions of the streets with-
in said city as hereinafter set forth.
76th Avenue West on both sides from 208th Street
Southwest to 216th Street Southwest.
212th Street Southwest on both sides from 500 feet
west of the curb line of 76th Avenue West, east
to U.S. Highway 99.
Section 2. Section 8.64.067, Schedule VI-B is hereby
amended to read as follows:
"8.64.067, Schedule VI-.B--Parking Time Limited for
Certain Periods of Time on Certain Streets. In
accordance with Section 8.48.155, and when signs
are erected giving notice thereof, no person shall
park a vehicle for a period of time longer than
two hours between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 4:00
p.m., Monday through Friday, on the following
listed streets within said city:
212th Street Southwest on the north and south
sides from 480 feet west of the intersection
of 76th Avenue West, west a distance of 500
feet."
Section 3. The Traffic Engineer is hereby authorized and
instructed to have signs erected, notifying the public of the
parking restrictions imposed by this ordinance.
