AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS, WASHINGTON,
AMENDING SECTION 7.30.010 OF THE EDMONDS CITY CODE
AND PROVIDING THAT THE PROVISIONS OF CHAPTER 7.30
OF THE EDMONDS CITY CODE SHALL APPLY TO EXCAVATIONS,
CONSTRUCTIONS OR OTHER INVASIONS OF CITY -OWNED EASE-
MENTS.
WHEREAS, the public health, safety and general welfare
require that the City be notified of any excavation, construc-
tion or other invasions of its easements, and
WHEREAS, such invasions can be permitted only under adequate
standards and upon the payment of a reasonable fee for the ad-
ministration of those standards, now, therefore,
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS, WASHINGTON, DO
ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 7.30.010 of the Edmonds City Code is hereby amended
to read as follows:
"7.30.010. Permits. A permit is required by the City
for any excavation, construction, or other invasion of
city rights -of -way by private individuals, contractors,
corporations, municipal corporations, special districts
and any and all other persons or organizations. For
the purposes of this chapter, city rights -of -way include
all easements, licenses or other rights of entry granted
to or hereafter acquired by the City."
