ORDINANCE NO. 2199
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS, WASH-
INGTON, AMENDING THE OFFICIAL ZONING MAP
OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS, WASHINGTON, BY DE-
SIGNATING THE ZONING CLASSIFICATION OF
CERTAIN PROPERTY RECENTLY ANNEXED INTO THE
CITY AS SINGLE-FAMILY, RESIDENTIAL (RS-8),
PURSUANT TO PLANNING ADVISORY BOARD RESO-
LUTION NO. 658.
WHEREAS, the Planning Advisory Board of the City of
Edmonds, Washington, held a public hearing regarding desig-
nating certain newly annexed property in the City of Edmonds
as Single -Family, Residential, RS-8, and after said hearing
has forwarded its recommendations to the City Council in
Planning Advisory Board Resolution No. 658, and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Edmonds,
Washington, at the next available meeting considered the
Findings of Fact, Conclusions and Recommendations of the
Planning Advisory Board as contained in Resolution No. 658,
the written materials and documents submitted before and
during the public hearing and the testimony of the City
staff and the members of the public as reflected in the min-
utes of the Planning Advisory Board hearing, and
WHEREAS, based on the foregoing the City Council
determined as follows:
1. That the Findings of Fact contained in
Planning Advisory Board Resolution No. 658 are correct and
no
and are hereby adopted by this reference as if set forth in
full .
2. There are no significant adverse environmen-
tal impacts to the surrounding properties either within or
without the jurisdiction of the City of Edmonds which will
be affected by the proposed zoning classification of the pro-
perty or the proposed uses, now, therefore,
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS, WASHINGTON
DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The Official Zoning Map of the City
of Edmonds, Washington, is hereby amended by establishing the
zoning classification of certain real property newly annexed
into the City as Single -Family, Residential, RS-8, all
situate in the City of Edmonds, Snohomish County, Washington,
and more particularly described on Exhibit "A", attached
hereto and incorporated herein as if set forth in full.
Section 2. The Planning Department Director
is hereby directed to effectuate the necessary amendments
to the Official Zoning Map of the City of Edmonds, Washington,
pursuant to this ordinance.
Section 3. This ordinance shall be in full force
and effect five (5) days after passage and publication by
posting as provided by law.

AREA ANNEXED TO THE CITY OF EDMONDS, WASHINGTON (EAST
OF 80TH AVENUE WEST AND NORTH OF 228TH STREET SOUTHWEST
That portion of Sections 30 and 31, Township 27 North, Range
4 East, W.M., situate in Snohomish County, State of Washing-
ton, described as follows:
Commencing at the southeast corner of said Section 30;
thence south to the south margin of 228th ST. S.W.; thence
west along said south margin continued to an intersection
with the centerline of Primary State Highway No. 1 (U.S.
99), said intersection being the True Point of Beginning;
thence west along the south margin of 228th ST. S.W. to its
intersection with the extended west margin of 80th AVE. W.;
thence north along the west margin of 80th AVE. W. to its
intersection with a line projected west from the southwest
corner of Lot 13, Munger Addition No. 2; thence east to the
southwest corner of said Lot 13, said corner also being on
the northwesterly margin of 227th PL. S.W.; thence north-
easterly, easterly and northerly along the northwesterly,
northerly and westerly margin of 227th PL. S.W. to its
intersection with the north line of Lot 2, Munger Addition
No. 2; thence east along the easterly extension of the last
said north line to its intersection with the centerline of
78th AVE. W., said point also being on the present corporate
boundary of the City of Edmonds, Washington; thence south
along said corporate boundary to the northeast corner of Lot
30 Munger Addition No. 2; thence south along said corporate
boundary, being also the west line of Lots 30, 29, 28, 27
and 26, Munger Addition No. 2, to its intersection with the
north margin of 228th ST. S.W.; thence east along the north
margin of 228th ST. S.W. continued to its intersection with
the centerline of Primary State Highway No. 1 (U.S. 99),
said north line being also the corporate boundary of the
City of Edmonds, Washington; thence southwesterly along said
centerline (being also the corporate boundary of the City of
Edmonds, Washington) to the True Point of Beginning.
