AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS, WASH-
INGTON, SETTING THE SALARIES FOR THE MAYOR,
DEPARTMENT HEADS AND DEPARTMENTAL ASSISTANTS
AND PROVIDING THAT PAY INCREASES FOR THE
MAYOR, DEPARTMENT HEADS AND DEPARTMENTAL
ASSISTANTS BE RETROACTIVE TO JANUARY 1,
1981, AND REPEALING ORDINANCE NO. 2201.
WHEREAS, after review and discussion, the Council
has determined to set the following salaries for the Mayor,
department heads and assistants, now therefore,
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS, WASHINGTON,
DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
of $1,010.
Sectioh.l. The Mayor shall receive a monthly salary
Section. 2. The following department heads, depart-
mental assistants and other exempt classification positions
as defined and designated in the City of Edmonds Salary
Administration Manual shall receive salaries as set forth in
Exhibit A, attached hereto and incorporated herein by this
reference as if set forth in full; provided, however, that
the specified salaries set forth on Exhibit A may be
increased by the Mayor within the salary ranges by an amount
not to exceed 2 percent of the specified salary for merit,
based upon a performance evaluation.
Section 3. The salary increases set forth in this
ordinance shall be applicable to the pay periods commencing
January 1, 1981.
Section 4. Ordinance No. 2201, passed by the City
Council on March 3, 1981, is hereby repealed.
Section 5. This ordinance shall be in full force
and effect five (5) days after passage and publication by
posting as provided by law.
