ORDINANCE NO. 2241
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS, WASH-
INGTON, AMENDING THE OFFICIAL ZONING MAP OF
SAID CITY BY CHANGING THE ZONING CLASSI-
FICATION OF CERTAIN PROPERTY FROM SINGLE FAMILY
RESIDENTIAL (RS-8) TO PLANNED RESIDENTIAL
DEVELOPMENT (PRD), PURSUANT TO HEARINGS
EXAMINER AND CITY COUNCIL APPROVAL OF PLANNING
DEPARTMENT FILE NO. PRD-3-79.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Edmonds,
Washington, pursuant to proper notice, held a public hearing on
a proposed planned residential development (PRD) amendment to
the Official Zoning Map of said city and has given design
review approval, subject to certain specified conditions, and
WHEREAS, the City Council having determined that the
recommended PRD designation would be the most appropriate to
provide for the most advantageous development and use of said
property, and that said classification would be in the interest
of the public health, safety and general welfare, and
WHEREAS, the City Council concurs in the finding of
the City's responsible official that there will be no sig-
nificant adverse environmental impact from this action, now,
therefore,
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS, WASHINGTON
DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The Official Zoning Map of Edmonds, Wash-
ington, is hereby amended by changing the classification of the
following described property from Single Family Residential
(RS-8) to Planned Residential Development (PRD), all situate in
the City of Edmonds, Snohomish County, Washington and legally
described as set forth in Exhibit "A", attached hereto and
incorporated by reference as if fully set forth herein.
Section 2. The Planning Department Director is
hereby directed to effectuate the necessary amendments to the
Official Zoning Map of the City of Edmonds, Washington,
pursuant to Section 1 of this Ordinance.
Section 3. The PRD Development shall be developed in
conformance with the Ordinances of the City of Edmonds and the
covenants, statements of intent, dedications, conditions, maps,
plats, plans and exhibits submitted to the City Council for
final PRD approval, which are and have been on file with
Planning Department under file No. PRD-3-79.
Section 4. This Ordinance shall be in full force and
effect five days after passage and publication by posting as
provided by law.

Beach, as per plat thereof recorded in Volume 5 of
Plats on page 38, records of Snohomish County,
Washington, described as follows: Beginning at a point
on the west line of said Tract 143, distant NO 21'49"W,
302.23 feet from the southwest corner thereof; thence
NO 21'49"W along said west line 236.25 feet to a point
100.00 feet south of the north line of said Tract 143;
thence S89 50'00"E parallel with the north line of said
Tract 143, 169.63 feet; thence SO 21'49"E 23.26 feet;
thence S89 05'31"E 110.64 feet to a point on the west line
of that certain 40.00-foot strip of land described in deed
recorded under Auditor's File No. 2078769, records of
said County; thence Sll 25'34"E, along said west line
219.10 feet to a point from which the point of beginning
bears N87 13'34"W; thence N87 13'34"W, parallel with the
south line of said Tract 143, a distance of 321.90 feet to
the point of beginning; Situate in Snohomish County,
Washington.
