ORDINANCE NO. 2334
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS, WASH-
INGTON, AMENDING THE 1982 BUDGET BY AMEND-
ING ORDINANCE NO. 2256, PASSED BY THE CITY
COUNCIL ON DECEMBER 22, 1981 AS AMENDED BY
ORDINANCE NO. 2316, PASSED BY THE CITY
COUNCIL ON AUGUST 10, 1982.
WHEREAS, the City is required by applicable state law
to finalize its annual budget prior to the commencement of
the fiscal year, and,
WHEREAS, the amounts of revenue and appropriation can
only be estimated at the time of finalization of said budget,
and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that it is in the
best interest of the City of Edmonds to make the adjustments
in the various budget funds as more fully set forth herein,
now, therefore,
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS, WASHINGTON,
DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1: Section 2 of Ordinance No. 2256, passed
by the City Council on December 22, 1981, and the budget
summary showing the schedule of revenues and appropriations
for each individual fund and the aggregate totals thereof as
set forth on Exhibit A attached to said ordinance and incor-
porated by reference, as the same were amended by Ordinance
No. 2316, passed by the City Council on August 10, 1982, are
hereby further amended as follows:

1. In the cumulative Reserve/General Fund No. 002
increase beginning cash by $8,585.00, increase re-
venue by $3,000.00 and increase expenditures corre-
spondingly by $11,585.00. The expenditure increase
shall be transferred to the General Fund No. 001.
2. In the Underground Wiring Fund No. 115 increase
beginning cash by $10,000.00 and increase revenue by
$29,000.00 on account of monies received from the
Port of Edmonds for the Dayton Street Project plus
interest earnings from investments. Increase expen-
ditures by $39,000.00 for the Dayton Street Improve-
ment Project.
3. Transfer the amount of $7,333.00 from the Coun-
cil Contingency Fund No. 119 to the General Fund No.
001, Department No. 910 Parks and Recreation for the
purpose of funding a clerk/typist from July 1, 1982
to December 31, 1982. Transfer the sum of $425.00
from the Council Contingency Fund No. 119 to the
General Fund No. 001 Department 100 City Council for
the purpose of purchase of an art painting for dis-
play in the new city library.
4. In the Parks Acquisition/Development Fund No.
125 increase expenditures by $26,600.00 for con-
struction of the tennis courts at the junior high
play field.
5. Establish the Cemetery Improvement Fund No. 130
in the City's chart of accounts with a revenue of
$5,000.00 and expenditures of $2,000.00 leaving a
cash balance of $3,000.00.
6. Increase beginning cash balance in the Federal
Reserve Sharing Fund No. 199 by $6,490.00 and in-
crease revenues by $4,523.00. Transfer the amount
of $11,013.00 to the General Fund No. 001.
7. In Capital Improvement Fund No. 325 decrease
beginning cash by $2,108.00 and increase revenues by
$7,000.00 on account of sales of City property.
Expenditures shall be decreased by $5,000.00 and
increasing ending cash balance by $9,892.00.
Section 2. The Finance Director is hereby authorzied
and instructed to effectuate the necessary changes to the
1982 Budget and to make all necessary and appropriate line
item entries and adjustments in order to reflect the trans-

fers and adjustments set forth in Section 1 of this ordin-
ance.
Section 3. This ordinance having been on file with
the City Clerk for five (5) days prior to its date of passage
shall be in full force and effect five (5) days after its
passage by a vote of one more than a majority of all members
of the City Council and publication by posting as provided by
law.
