To answer your questions: 1.a.- The proposed vaults shown on this application are the same vault approved locations under ENG2020-0392. 1.b. No additional vaults are being proposed. 2.a. There is existing conduit in the alley on the east side of 202 Main St (between 2nd and 3rd)- the fiber will be pulled through. Let me know if anything else is needed. Thank you! On Mon, May 17, 2021 at 12:29 PM Edmonds Engineering Permits <EngineeringPermits@edmondswa.gov> wrote: Good morning, As you are aware, I had previously put this permit application on hold until the Comcast permit for the Graphite development at 202 Main St (ENG2020-0392) had been approved. Since that permit has now been approved, I have reviewed the resubmittal from February 26, 2021, and have the following questions/comments: The approved permit for the Graphite development has three vaults being placed around 202 Main St (near the NE, NW, and SW property corners). The plans for this application show new vaults in approximately these locations. Are these the vaults that will be installed under ENG2020-0392 and are not additional vaults being installed under this application/job number? a. If these vaults are being installed in the approved locations under ENG2020-0392, then this application for ENG2020-0483 can be approved. b. If these are additional vaults, please provide more detailed plans showing where the vaults will be located. Given proximity to the vaults that are being installed under ENG2020-0392, additional vaults in these locations may not be approved. 2. Is there an existing conduit in the alley on the east side of 202 Main St (between 2nd and 3d)? The plans for this application indicate that this conduit is existing and that the new fiber will be pulled through. Please confirm. The developer for the Graphite project at 202 Main St just paved this alley. If excavation is needed in any portion of the newly paved alley, Comcast will be responsible for the restoration and potentially cut fees. Let me know if you have any questions. Thanks! Ewing Subject: Re: FW: Comcast ROW Permit ENG2020-0483 - 184 Sunset Ave Attachments: F60884-JB-490089-EDMONDS PERMIT PACK REV1.pdf Categories: Green category Good morning Natalie, Attached is a revised package for review. Please see additional notes below: -The proposed work in ROW is in order to upgrade fiber capacity in field where there is not enough dark fibers to light up for customer at 184 Sunset. There is a physical connection to address already, however this section in ROW requires upgrade of fiber count in order to complete connection due to limited available fibers. Hope that makes sense! - This job will be linked and dependent on completion of aerial to underground relocation of Comcast plant for pud pole removal (to be performed under Comcast J130000053298) - as now noted in application and plans. NEW underground construction dates for JB 53298 is TBD at the momnent. -The footage break was used incorrectly on original overview. It would be used to show a change in direction of conduit with the footage reflecting both lengths of conduit on either side of bend. In this case, the fielder could not verify exact footage of each leg of existing conduit (before and after turn). Let me know if there are any further questions. The application states that service will be provided to 184 Sunset Ave. There is a plan sheet showing the aerial view of 184 Sunset, then the plan sheet that shows the proposed aerial and conduit routes is between 2nd and Main and 3rd and Dayton. How does Comcast propose to provide service to 184 Sunset? Does there need to be a physical connection to that property? The plan that shows 184 Sunset uses different color lines from the legend. Please clarify. The new aerial span that is shown on 2nd and Main will not be possible because these two poles on 2nd are being removed by PUD. Please revise accordingly. What is a footage break? It is shown between the existing conduit that crosses 3rd south of Main St and the new aerial span that is proposed on the east side of 3rd Thanks!
