Summary
The building is a ranch -style, single-family residence.
From an ceiling access panel in the garage, we observed the roof
framing to be metal plate -connected wood trusses supported at the
back wall (east wall) and at a gable truss at the front (west wall) of the
garage. The common trusses appear to have the same web pattern near
the center of the trusses for the entire length of the building.
The planned improvements are modifications to the interior, non-structural
walls and the partial infill of one, exterior door opening which opens to the
back. (Slider to man -door) Net reductions to the lateral force -resisting
system are very small, if any, and by observation, considerably less than
10%.
