SECTION C
Traffic Control and Public Safety. Traffic control and public safety shall be in accordance with City regulations as
required by the City Engineer. Every flagger must be trained as required by WAC 296-155-305 and must have
certification verifying completion of the required training in their possession.
Restoration. Restoration shall be in accordance with City codes and Standards. All street cut trench work shall be
patched with asphalt or City approved material prior to the end of the workday -NO EXCEPTIONS.
Insurance. The City may require the owner or contractor to provide proof of insurance acceptable to the City prior to
any permit approval.
Indemnification. The Applicant agrees to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless the City of Edmonds, its officials,
officers, employees, and agents against any injuries, damages, or claims of any kind or description whatsoever,
foreseen or unforeseen, including defense costs and attorney fees, resulting directly or indirectly from any act or
omission of the Applicant, its subcontractors, anyone directly or indirectly employed by them, and anyone for whose
acts or omissions they may be liable, arising out of, related to, or by reason of the granting of this permit; and
specifically including but not limited to all loss by the failure of the Applicant to fully or adequately perform, in any
respect, all authorizations or obligations under the permit. These indemnification requirements shall survive the
expiration, revocation, or termination of any resulting permit approval.
Acceptance of terms, conditions, and requirements. Applicant accepts the terms, conditions, and
requirements set forth in this Application and agrees they apply to any resulting permit and shall comply with them to
the satisfaction of the City Engineer. Applicant further agrees to comply with the conditions listed on the Submittal
Requirements; with all applicable city ordinances, including but not limited to ECDC Title 18; and with all applicable
requirements of state and federal law.
Statement of Applicant. I declare under penalty of perjury under the laws of the State of Washington that: I am a
licensed and bonded contractor; the information provided herein is correct and complete; and I am authorized by
owner to act on its behalf and have authority to bind the owner to this application.

Q: The plans show that the conduit crossing the alley is existing so the city will allow it to be reused, however if the
conduit is not existing or it is damaged and can not be reused than a new conduit shall be installed crossing the alley at a
90 degree angle parallel to 6th Ave S onto the private property.
A: We will notify the jurisdiction if the Site Plans change.
Q: There is a BO pole at this location. Please verify that Comcast is no longer attached to this old BO pole. If Comcast is
still attached than those lines shall be moved to the new pole and the old BO pole shall be removed.
A: We have verified with our Walkout Team that Comcast is no longer attached to the old BO pole. See attached
photos.
Q: Please show all utilities on the site plan. Potholing shall be required when crossing any utility if the contractor needs
to bore a new conduit.
A: Attached for your review/approval is a revised Site Plan that includes Utilities on page 6 and we will notify
the jurisdiction if the Site Plans change.

11. CONTRACTOR SHALL OBTAIN A COPY OF THE GEOTECHNICAL REPORT (WHERE APPLICABLE) AND SHALL THOROUGHLY FAMILIARIZE HIMSELF WITH THE CONTENTS THEREOF.
ALL SITE WORK SHALL BE PERFORMED IN STRICT COMPLIANCE WITH THE RECOMMENDATIONS OF THIS REPORT.
12. STRUCTURAL FILL MATERIAL AND PLACEMENT SHALL CONFORM TO THE RECOMMENDATIONS OF THE PROJECT GEOTECHNICAL REPORT.
13. SUBGRADE SOILS IN ALL AREAS WHERE RAIN GARDENS, INFILTRATION OR PERVIOUS PAVEMENT IS TO BE PLACED SHALL BE DELINEATED AND PROTECTED AT ALL TIMES FROM
COMPACTIVE ACTIVITIES (i.e. HEAVY EQUIPMENT, STOCKPILING).
14. MANHOLES, CATCH BASINS, UTILITIES AND PAVEMENT SHALL BEAR ON MEDIUM DENSE TO VERY DENSE NATIVE SOIL OR COMPACTED STRUCTURAL FILL. IF SOIL IS DISTURBED,
SOFT, LOOSE, WET OR IF ORGANIC MATERIAL IS PRESENT AT SUBGRADE ELEVATION, REMOVE AND REPLACE WITH COMPACTED STRUCTURAL FILL PER GEOTECHNICAL REPORT.
15. SEE SURVEY AND ARCHITECTURAL DRAWINGS FOR DIMENSIONS AND LOCATIONS OF BUILDINGS, LANDSCAPED AREAS AND OTHER PROPOSED OR EXISTING SITE FEATURES.
16. SEE ARCHITECTURAL DRAWINGS FOR PERIMETER FOUNDATION DRAINS. FOUNDATION DRAINS SHALL BE INDEPENDENT OF OTHER SITE DRAIN LINES AND SHALL BE TIGHTLINED
TO THE STORM DRAIN SYSTEM WHERE INDICATED ON THE PLANS.
17. ALL REQUIRED STORMWATER FACILITIES MUST BE CONSTRUCTED AND IN OPERATION PRIOR TO INSTALLATION OF ANY PAVEMENT UNLESS OTHERWISE APPROVED BY THE
ENGINEER.
18. ALL ROOF DRAINS, PERIMETER FOUNDATION DRAINS, CATCH BASINS AND OTHER EXTERNAL DRAINS SHALL BE CONNECTED TO THE STORM DRAINAGE SYSTEM, UNLESS NOTED

19. ALL FOOTING DRAINS SERVING BUILDINGS, WALLS, ROCKERIES, ETC. SHALL CONNECT TO THE DRAINAGE SYSTEM DOWNSTREAM OF THE SITE STORMWATER DETENTION

20. CONTRACTOR SHALL OBTAIN AND PAY FOR ALL PERMITS REQUIRED FOR INSTALLATION OF ALL SITE IMPROVEMENTS INDICATED ON THESE DRAWINGS.
21. A SEPARATE IRRIGATION PERMIT MUST BE OBTAINED FROM THE CITY PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT. PRIOR TO FINAL CONSTRUCTION ACCEPTANCE, PROVIDE TO THE CITY
WATER QUALITY TECHNICIAN, A COPY OF THE BACKFLOW TEST REPORT. TEST REPORTS CAN BE FAXED TO 425-744-6057 OR EMAILED TO JEFF.KOBLYK@EDMONDSWA.GOV.
BACKFLOW TESTING SHALL BE COMPLETED BY THE OWNER ANNUALLY THEREAFTER.
