BLD2020-0985 Height CertificationAUGUST 16, 2021 CASCADE PACIFIC ENGINEERING AND LAND SURVEYING WILLIAM ROWLANDS, Professional Engineer and Land Surveyor P.O. BOX 588 CLINTON, WA 98236 CELL PH. (425) 248-0231 E-MAIL: TO: MARK AND COURTNEY SOLETA RE: JOB SITE 640 DAYTON ST., EDMONDS, WA. 98020 On Aug. 11, 2021, Our Company performed a field survey of the existing structure 640 Dayton Ave., Edmonds, WA.. Cascade General Contracting, Inc., the General Contractor, asked us to check the elevations of each of the four main corners of the as built structure and the finish elevation of the existing composition roof peak. We used the same elevation benchmark as shown of the building plans, Page A1.1, which was the curb catch basin rim next to the sidewalk near the Northeast corner of the building lot. The benchmark elevation used was 120.48 ft. , The elevations measured at the four corners of the structure were as follows: NW corner: 119.59 ft.; NE corner: 120.58 SE corner: 113.80 SW corner: 113.95 The average of these four corners is 467.92 / 4 = 116.98 ft. compared to the average on the house plans which was 116.95 ft.. Using the same catch basin benchmark of 120.48 ft., we then measured the roof peak to be 141.90 ft. The approved house plans called for a maximum height of 141.95 ft., Therefore, it is our surveyed measurement that the as built roof peak of this structure is 0.05 ft. under the allowable height.
