Reinforcing steel was checked for size, grade, spacing, lap, count, clearance, and placement. Additionally verified embedded item (anchors bolts). For depth, template installation, and hardware (nuts/washers). Footings and grade beams appeared to conform to the approved plans and specifications. Inspected concrete placement for the batting cage foundation verified all pad footings and the grade beams for the storage area of the building. CalPortland delivered 24yd3 of approved concrete mix 3310. Footings were placed by pump and boom and mechanically consolidated. One set of strength test cylinders were cast from this mix. Concrete placement appeared to conform to the approved plans and specifications. Mercer WEATHER: Cloudy TEMP: 45' F Krazan & Associates, Inc. representative visited the above -said project and performed periodic special inspection for a high strength bolting. We reviewed GRACO Building System drawings for batting cage structure and determined the type of approved joints of rigid frames which is Turn -of -the -nut method (pre -marked). We checked all bolted connections and ensured that the high strength bolts are marked as A325 as per ASTM. The bolts were pre -marked & turned 1/3 properly and acceptable as per AISC 360. All plies of rigid frame connections are in contact and no gap seen around the bolts.
