Permit No.: BLD2019-1212 Inspector: Niccolo Guiao Jurisdiction: City of Edmonds Weather: Cloudy with Temp: 50-60's F Showers A Krazan representative visited the project site today for an adhesive anchors inspection. Upon our arrival, the contractor had prepared base shear anchor bolt holes on the planned SW-1 thru 3 within grids E.54/1-5. The holes were 7/8-in diameter with a minimum embedment of 8-in thru the sill plate. The holes were also cleaned using compressed air and wire brush. Prior to the installation of epoxied anchor bolts, holes were verified for cleanliness and embedment. Today, we observed ninety (90) 3/-in diameter x 12-in long ATR (all threaded rod) into the existing thickened concrete slab. The anchor bolts were placed in a twisting motion fully encapsulating the anchor bolts with adhesive. Adhesive were seen extruding at the surface. The contractor used a Hilti Hit RE 500V3 as adhesive with expiration date of 02/2021 and lot no. of 115725 L5. In our opinion, the epoxied anchor bolts were placed in general accordance to the approved structural plans per general structural notes, framing plans and wood shear wall scheduled, and RFI#135. Site photos are attached for reference. To the best of my knowledge, the above WAS performed in general accordance to the approved plans and project specifications.
