We have reviewed the Kisan Stormwater Detention Vault. The following documents were provided for our

We have the following review comments in regard to the above referenced project.
1. Please provide a copy of the geotechnical report by Earth Solutions NW (Report #: ES-5932)
referenced on sheet S1 of the structural drawings.
2. Please provide a general letter of conformance by the geotechnical engineer of record.
3. The vault widths and lengths on sheet S3 of the structural drawings do not appear to match the vault
width and length shown on the vault plan on sheet 2 of the civil drawings. Please provide updated civil
and/or structural drawings with matching dimensions.
4. The manhole locations shown on "CONCRETE VAULT DIMENSIONS AND PRECAST CONCRETE LID
LAYOUT" on sheet 2 of the civil drawings do not match the manhole locations shown on sheet S5 of
the structural drawings shown on "DENTENTION VAULT PANEL LAYOUT PLAN".
5. The civil plans do not show a section of the vault showing vault depth and cover. Please provide
updated civil plans showing vault sections with elevations showing the depth of vault and soil cover,
or provide top of vault and bottom of vault elevations on the vault plan or grading plan.
6. The civil drawings show a detail for a "CONTROL STRUCTURE WITHIN VAULT" that shows the bottom
of the control structure 4' below the low water surface. This does not appear to be shown in the
structural drawings or structure calculations. Please show the location of the control structure on the
structural drawings and verify the vault walls in this location have been designed for the increased
depth.

7. Per IBC 2015 section 1605.2 and ACI 318-14 section 5.3, the vault walls should be analyzed for the
factored load combination 1.2D+1.OE+1.OL+1.6H which is not included in the structural calculations.
Please provide structural calculations with the referenced factored load combination.
8. Please provide a calculation to determine if transverse footing reinforcement is required.
9. If the bottom of the vault is sloped, please update the plan to show the extent of slope (also
referenced in details WSP and WPP).
