Nell is an ecologist and project manager who specializes in critical areas
assessment and mitigation planning. Nell applies her broad knowledge of
Washington's wetlands and streams to help residential landowners, public
agencies, and school districts comply with regulatory requirements and
understand how to incorporate critical areas as valued assets. She frequently
works with Watershed's planning department in support of critical area
ordinance ICAO} and Shoreline Master Program {SMPy updates, providing
field assessment and documentation to verify report findings and
demonstrate environmental consequences of proposed code changes.
Outside of Watershed
Nell enjoys Seattle metropolitan parks and amenities with her family. Hiking
on regional trails is a treat, especially after going through the brush at work.

Grace is a wetland scientist who provides a broad skill -set to the firm's critical
areas and mitigation planning efforts, performing wetland and stream
delineation studies, and monitoring mitigation sites. Prior to joining The
Watershed Company, Grace was a Field Technician for the Lower Columbia
Estuary Partnership, where she monitored wetland vegetation, hydrology, and
soil chemistry to determine action effectiveness for salmon habitat
improvement at restoration sites.
