Recently, an inspection of Magnolia Lane Condominium building 8507 revealed the presence of
substantial dryrot in the crawlspace that affected and degraded several joists and beams in the
floor infrastructure of that building. As a result, the Magnolia Lane Condo HOA has contracted
CG Engineering to provide a plan and drawings for repairing this area, and to do structural
calculations to verify structural integrity of the dryrot repair plan. In addition, the HOA has
contracted CG Engineering to prepare a permit application for submission to the City of
Edmonds for repair of the damaged infrastructure, based on the repair plan and structural
calculations submitted to the Magnolia Lane HOA. This letter is to ascertain that the HOA
intends to use the CG Engineering repair plan as the basis for repairing the dryrot damage, and
have assigned responsibility for submitting and obtaining permit approval to CG Engineering,
for this purpose.
