Please submit revised plans/documents through en ing eeringpermits(a edmondswa.gov. SITE PLAN 1) The plan that was submitted shows the new pole being placed in the planter strip. The city would like the pole to be moved behind the sidewalk to the east. 4th Ave has a 60' ROW width so there should be room to keep the pole in the ROW but behind the sidewalk. If for some other reason this can not be achieved please explain why. Answer: The proposed new location for the replacement pole behind the sidewalk cannot be achieved for the following reason: - the pole construction will require a wingarm construction to catch the existing Overhead primary and Neutral. The other Utilities such as Ziply and Comcast will follow to attach their own wingarm assembly as well. This scenario will require the new pole to be backed up with several Guys and Anchor. Currently, the PUD does not have an easement for such. - The property owner (Debbie Appleby) have declined to grant any easement for Guys and Anchor on their property. Question: There is an existing parking lane between the pole to be replaced and the fog line (edge of driving lane). That gives about 10 feet of distance between the fog line and the PUD proposed location of the new pole which is about a foot to the north. Doesn't that meet the City's guideline? Just coming back from staycation. Q (I'm just getting caught up on my emails.) Below is what I can see happening if the property owner would let me have an easement to install Guy and Anchors on his property. f I left a voicemail to the property owner this morning. Hopefully I get a call back. (That house on 41h Ave is currently a rental.) Stay tuned. *By the way, I measured how far is the old pole to the edge of the driving lane (Fog line) and it's about 10 feet with the parking lane.
