Supplementary Report:
At the client's request, ESNW rep was onsite to observe and test road utility crossing road backfill.
Road Utility Crossing Backfill:
ESNW representative observed the grading contractor use a small excavator to place imported 5/8" (-) crushed
rock (Proctor 2) into the utility trench crossing Lindsay PI (see map). ESNW rep obtained a proctor sample of the
imported 5/8" (-) crushed rock to be used as Proctor 2 and as a reference for the placed material. The utility
trench was approximately 5' deep, and was backfilled in approximately 1' lifts. The placed backfill was compacted
with a jumping jack compactor. ESNW observed the grading contractor compact placed lifts several times over to
ensure adequate compaction. ESNW representative tested the placed materials at approximately -2' and at SG.
Adequate compaction of at least 95% achieved in the tested areas. ESNW will return for testing.
