Supplementary Report:
As requested by the client, ESNW rep was onsite to observe and test compaction of proposed sewer
system backfill as well as power service backfill. ESNW rep was also onsite to collect one soil proctor
sample. While onsite the following was observed:
Compaction Testing:
Density test results indicate adequate compaction of at least 95% at the tested locations. Please see
map below for approximate test locations.
Sewer System Backfill:
Upon arrival onsite, ESNW rep observed the proposed 6" side sewer for the proposed structure at
18828 Sound Place had been tied into the existing sewer system along the southwestern margin of
Lindsay PI. ESNW rep was informed by the client rep, Gary, the 6" pipe was bedded in 6" of pea gravel
before being backfilled with approximately 2'-3' of 5/8" minus crushed rock in approximately 12" loose
lifts. The client rep informed ESNW rep that each loose lift was compacted via jumping jack. ESNW rep
observed the sewer system backfill to be compacted to a dense and stable state, suitable for proposed
sewer system and roadway. Please see map and image below.
Power Service Trench Backfill:
While onsite, ESNW rep observed the proposed power service line for the proposed structure at 18828
Sound Place had been tied into the existing power system along the northwestern margin of Lindsay
PI. ESNW rep was informed by the client rep, Gary, the power service line was bedded in 6" of sand
before being backfilled with approximately 2'-3' of 5/8" minus crushed rock in approximately 12" loose
lifts. The client rep informed ESNW rep that each loose lift was compacted via jumping jack. ESNW rep
observed the power service trench backfill to be compacted to a dense and stable state, suitable for
proposed power service line and roadway. Please see map and image below.
Soil Proctor Sample Collection:
While onsite, ESNW rep collected one soil proctor sample for laboratory analysis.
