The action item I took away is Edmonds still wanted to know the amount of wires in place in the sections on running on Edmonds Way. Currently there is 342 wires and Ziply is requesting to add 2 more wires to this location as common utilities. The pole removal needs to be completed to remove the double pole situation at 721 Edmonds way. Ziply will resubmit that application for the pole removal to include the transfer of all existing utilities to the new pole. What other information is needed/required to get a determination on these permits? Sincerely, Rob Nance From: Nance, Rob Sent: Sunday, January 9, 2022 5:53 PM To: EngineeringPermits@edmondswa.gov; Whatmore, Jeff <Jeff.Whatmore@edmondswa.gov>; McConnell, Jeanie<Jeanie.McConnell @edmondswa.gov> Subject: FW: Comments - Ziply ROW Permit Applications ENG2021-0428 and ENG2021-0449 for 721 Edmonds Way Jeanie, Jeff & Natalie, Can we discuss this application? I am hoping we can stop some back in forth on the application between our teams to better understand exactly what is needed to help the city process the application. Jeff and Natalie, we had some good dialog when we meet at the end of December so if possible I would like to talk through the application with you so I can further understand your concerns to help ensure we provided the needed information up -front. Do you have a few mins we can discuss this application this week? ENG2021-0428-Pole Removal The PUD did place a new pole at this location and appears to have been allowed to place overhead power to feed this new development. Ziply is responsible for removing the existing pole at this location. Ziply does not necessarily track drops to home locations in our records, we apply a service range to our terminals as a terminal will/can feed multiple address. We can provide you all address that could feed from the terminal? Would that be helpful? If not we would need to go field the location and track each drop individually to determine the address to serves. E N G 2021-0449 1. This project replaces the existing fiber terminal with a new fiber terminal at the same location. It is increasing the terminal by 2 fibers to feed all homes serviced by this terminal. The physical size of the fiber cable is identical to the size of the cable already in place that will be removed during this project. Also I would like to get the meeting from December rescheduled, I know there was some last minute challenges that occurred so not everyone was able to attend. Can you provide we some times over the next two weeks the Edmonds team is available and I can work to align them with Ziply' schedules?
