This summary letter is provided to outline the design criteria and calculations for the load capacity of the existing slab for the Tenant
Improvement project listed above. The existing slab is assumed to be a minimum 4" thickness, to be verified by the contractor during
construction. Equipment cut sheets and layout sketch by the owner have been provided and are attached for reference. Additionally,
please find attached a calculation for the slab punching shear capacity at a worst case scenario, where two 60 pound capacity
machines are fully loaded at the same time adjacent to one another. Based on the equipment information provided, I can conclude that
the existing slab is sufficient for the loading of the proposed equipment.
