GENERAL HVAC NOTES
1. MECHANICAL DRAWING ARE DIAGRAMMATIC IN NATURE. FIELD
SHALL PROVIDE ALL OFFSETS, CHANGES IN DIRECTION AND
TRANSITIONS REQUIRED FOR COMPLETION OF PROJECT.
2. MECHANICAL WORK SHALL BE PERFORMED IN ACCORDANCE
AND COMPLY WITH ALL GOVERNING CODES AND REGULATIONS
(LOCAL AND STATE).
3. EQUIPMENT SHALL BE INSTALLED IN CONFORMANCE WITH
ARCHITECTURAL FEATURES OF BUILDING/SPACE.
4. AIR -DUCT IN UNCONDITIONED SPACES SHALL HAVE A MINIMUM
THICKNESS OF 1.5", R-6 INSULATION. AIR -DUCT LOCATED OUTSIDE
THE BUILDING SHALL HAVE A MINIMUM OF R-8 INSULATION. SEE
WSEC TABLE C403.10.1.2 FOR MORE DETAILS.
5. AIR -DUCT SIZES ON MECHANICAL PLAN ARE CLEAR INSIDE
DIMENSIONS. DUCT SIZE SHALL BE UPSIZED TO ALLOW FOR
REQUIRED INSULATION.
6. AIR -DUCTS JOINTS, SEAM AND CONNECTIONS SHALL BE
SEALED PER 2018 IMC 603.9.
7. BALANCE HVAC SYSTEM PER WSEC C408.2.2.
8. THERMOSTATS SHALL BE SEVEN-DAY TYPE AND HAVE NIGHT
SETBACK WITH 5-DEGREE DEADBAND.
9. PROJECT CLOSE OUT DOCUMENTATION & TRAINING OF THE
BUILDING OPERATIONS PERSONNEL IS REQUIRED FOR ALL
MECHANICAL COMPONENTS, EQUIPMENT AND SYSTEMS. CLOSE
OUT DOCUMENTATION SHALL INCLUDE RECORD DOCUMENTS,
O&M MANUALS, APPLICABLE WSEC COMPLIANCE FORMS &
CALCULATIONS.
