BLD2021-1065 RECEIVED Site plan for 214 Main St. Edmonds, WA 98020 Aug 02 2021 CITY OF EDMONDS DEVELOPMENT SERVICES DEPARTMENT Project Lead/Contact: Liam Sosinsky, 425-361-6146 Building Description: Commercial building in business district of Edmonds. Functionally, the building is mixed -use with one commercial tenant (Allstate) and two residential condos. Easements: None that I am aware of. Possible easements include powerlines directly in front of the building (Main St. side). These will not impact the project and vice versa. There is also a shared path between 214 Main and 220 Main for the tenants of these buildings. The path will be kept clear and accessible. Project Description: 214 Main Street has old, warped, and rotting siding on the first level that needs to be replaced. The top floor (second floor) of the building was built around the year 2000 and therefore the siding in that portion is in acceptable condition. Light refurbishing will take place on the second floor to make sure existing shingles are in good condition and to re - caulk window frames. The first floor siding is much older needs to be completely replaced. The siding contractors will remove some of the more compromised siding and replace it with new plywood. Existing siding in acceptable condition will be used as the base for installation. James Hardie (HardiePanel) cement fiber siding will be professionally installed across the entire first level of the building, except in the inside courtyard and on top of the mural on the alley side (west side) of the building. After siding is installed, the contractors will install two new windows and new gutters. One new window will be installed on the alley side (west side) of the building. The other window will be installed on the east side of the building. They will finish with repainting the entire building with Behr Ultra exterior paint. In addition, possible repairs will take place to the two bottom panels of the garage door on the residential (south side) of 214 Main. Access to complete project: Contractors will need to park in and close off the alleyway on the west side of the building during the painting portion of the project. Currently the alleyway is closed due to the construction taking place at 202 Main St. (new Graphite Art Center).
