and WSEG.

4. Provide solid wood blocking for support at all wall mounted
fixtures.

LIFE SAFETY NOTES:
1. Stairways to meet minimum requirements of 2015 SRG R311.7;
- Minimum stair width: 36"
- Minimum headroom: 50"
- Maximum riser height: 7 3/4"
- Minimum tread depth: 10"
- Rise or run dimensions shall not vary more than 5/5"
- Minimum landing length: 36"
- Handrail height: 34-35" above stair nosing
2. Stairways with four or more ri5er5 shall have a handrail.
3. Handrails shall be continuous and terminate at a wall or newel
Post.
4. Guard5 shall be provided for porches, balconies or raised floor
surfaces located more than 30" above the floor or grade below.
5. Guards shall be 36" in height and designed to resist a 200 lb.
concentrated load on the top rail and 50 p5f on all guardrail
infill components.
6. Required guards shall have a maximum opening such that a 4"
diameter sphere can not pass through.
7. All new smoke and carbon monoxide detectors to be hardwired
with a battery back-up.
ENERGY NOTES:
1. All new fenestration U-value5 and insulation R-value5 shall satisfy
the prescriptive path of the 2015 Washington State Energy
Gode.
2. Prescriptive Requirements (Climate zone 4G);
- Vertical glazing: U = 0.30
- Overhead glazing: U = 0.50
- Doors: U = 0.20
- Geilings: R-4q
- Singgle rafter ceilings: R-35

3. When insulation is installed in a cavity which is less than the label
or design thickness of the insulation, the compressed R-value
of the insulation shall not be less than specified above.
4. Builder shall complete and post an insulation "Certificate for
Residential Construction" within three feet of the electrical
panel prior to final inspection.
5. A minimum of 75% of permanently installed lamps in lighting
fixtures shall be high efficacy lamps.
6. Kitchen, Bathroom and Laundry exhaust fans shall terminate
outdoors and not in attics, soffits, ridge vents or crawl spaces.
7. A whole house mechanical ventilation system shall be designed in
accordance with IRG section M1507.3. The ventilation system
shall provide outdoor air at a rate not less than specified in
tables M1507.3.3(1) or M1507.3.3(2).
