Page 2 of 4 2) Show water line from approximate point of connection (to existing line) to the house and call out size and pipe material. 3) Show that there is a minimum of 3' of horizontal separation between the water service and dry utilities (i.e. power, phone, gas, cable, etc.). SEWER 4) The property line type and the easement line type are very similar. If possible, please lighten the sewer easement shading and outline so it looks different than the property line and so is possible to see the location of the sewer main. If the sewer main is not shown, please add it. Note size and material of the public sewer main-8" concrete. 5) Entire sewer run shall be shown from the main line to the house. Note pipe size, length and material. Show where existing sewer is proposed to be stubbed approximately, the invert at that location and show the new sewer connecting to the residence with 4 — 6" clean out noting invert. 6) Show a 6" sewer cleanout at the edge of easement (See comment #8 below for additional information. Please add a note that the 6" cleanout at the property line shall have a 12" cast iron lamphole cover with 1/2" hexbolts. Add sewer cleanout standard detail SS 200 to plans. 7) Provide invert elevations at the main, the cleanout at the property line, and at the house so a minimum 2% slope and minimum 1' pipe coverage can be verified (2' coverage if under a drivable surface. 8) If the existing side sewer is to be re -used, the line must be cut and capped a minimum of 20' from existing and/or proposed foundation whichever is closest to the edge of easement. It may make more sense to replace the line to the edge of easement since a clean out is required there anyway. If choosing to reuse the pipe, (provided it has been approved for reuse, see #9 below), then a spot repair can be indicated to install the cleanout on the existing line at the easement edge. Please revise the plans accordingly. 9) Please add a note stating that "The existing side sewer (line from house to edge of easement) will need to be TV'd by the contractor and video must be submitted to the City for review and approval to re -use. If not reusable" 10) Please also add this note stating "The existing sewer lateral (line from edge of easement to the sewer main) is proposed to be reused. The City's Public Works Department will need to TV the lateral to determine if it is acceptable to re -use. If not re -usable, lateral shall be replaced by property owner. Contact Edmonds Public Works Sewer Division, 425-771-0235, to schedule inspection. 11) Please add the sewer lateral SS 202 (to have in case the lateral ends up having to be replaced) and side sewer standard detail SS 201. DRY UTILITIES 1) Show all dry utilities and required utility separation. Please add a note that a minimum of 3' separation is required between the dry utilities (power, gas, phone, cable, etc.) and sewer, water, and storm and 5' from any City main lines. 2) All utilities shall be underground including power. Please revise the sheet(s) that are incorrect.
