The subject application has been reviewed but cannot be completed until the
following items have been addressed/completed.
1. The kitchen drains on the plan look good. I will approve the Pretreatment portion
of your permit.
2. The hydromechanical grease interceptor (HGI) size on the plans is approved at 50
gallons.
3. Since the HGI will be installed suspended under the floor, be sure to install the
HGI;
• In a location where a service vehicle can reach the HGI and perform required
pump outs.
• Where the top of the HGI is at least 16" below the bottom of the ceiling and/or
insulation.
• Where the internal, removeable components can be removed from the HGI for
inspection and cleaning.
• Not directly above a parking space.
• With unobstructed access to the HGI for the purposes of inspections and
required pump outs.
