• The new floor joists in the plans were sized using Table 502.3.1(2) in the
2018 WSRC.
• The deck joists and beams were sized using the tables in R507 of the 2018
WSRC.
• New headers in the plans were sized using Table 602.7(1) in the 2018
WSRC.
• New rafters in the plans were sized using Table 802.4.1(3) in the 2018
WSRC.
• All new lumber to be DF #2 as noted on Sheet A7 and A8.
• We double checked the sizes of the existing family room roof beam and
family room headers using Forte Web Software by Weyerhauser (see
attached). Design loads:
o Roof live load = 25 psf
o Roof dead load = 15 psf
o Floor Live Load = 40 psf
o Floor dead load = 15psf
