In accordance with ASCE 7-10, a structural evaluation of the roof /ceiling structural is required please provide documentation from a Washington state licensed engineer of the adequacy of the assembly. RESPONSE: The weight of the mechanical unit are 235 lbs each, which do not exceed 400 lbs is need to be checked for seismic design according ASCE 7-10 section 13. Please refer to the attached sheet S1 drawing shows assembly of kitchen hood with lateral bracing by using Unistrut.
