William and Terri Reid 7414 1691" PI SW Edmonds
Marcelo Hernandez of M&H Exterior Stucco and I met with City of Edmonds
Building Inspectors Eric Carter and Les Krestel on site at 7414 1691" PI SW,
Edmonds on 6/16/2022 at 9:00 am.
The work we are requesting be permitted involves only the repair of two existing
2nd floor decks. When we were having the house pressure washed prior to
painting, we discovered that the railings and part of the fascia and top plywood
on both decks contained rotten wood. As a result, the rotten wood was removed.
We are therefore planning to rebuild the railings with cedar but in exactly the
same configuration they were originally. Where applicable, the affected fascia
and decking plywood will also be replaced with good wood. The railing posts will
be replaced with cedar and attached with metal brackets. Finally, two coats of
Master Seal Coating System will be applied on both decks.
Deck 1 is approximately 108 sq ft with approximately linear feet of railing.
Deck 2 is 260 sq ft with approximately 36 linear feet of railing.
