Curb Ramp:
It is the City's understanding that the applicant is seeking final certificate of occupancy for
this project. We have thoroughly gone through all of the permit files and recognized that the curb
ramp inspection at the corner of 4th and Daley was never finalized.
Upon a site visit, it was discovered that the curb ramp was not installed properly and is
currently not in ADA compliance. The panels marked with red "x's" in the image below will need to
be replaced. Furthermore, expansion joints will need to be added to make the flares separate from the
sidewalk (marked in blue), as discussed with the contractor prior to pouring of the concrete. The
design that was discussed with the contractor is attached for reference.
Next Steps:
1. Schedule form inspection for curb ramp on My Building Permit www.mybuildingpermit.com.
2. Schedule inspection prior to pouring so slopes can be verified.
3. Additional inspection fees are due on the right-of-way permit (ENG2021-0233) prior to final of
the ROW and building permits. Currently the balance is $495; please note, additional inspection
fees may be added prior to final.
• Payment can be made at Development Services to City Hall or by calling 425-771-0220.
4. A pickhole is required the for the 12" sewer cleanout cover that is in front of 323 Daley. This
pickhole can be drilled into the existing cast iron cover.
Recall for inspection when this completed.
Paperwork:
1. Records for the ROW dedication shall be provided to City prior to final.
a. The notarized copy will need to be signed by City officials prior to being recorded with
Snohomish County.
b. The owner providing signature will need to be the correct owner at time of recording of
the document. For clarification, if documents are to be recorded after the sale of the
property, then the new property owner will need to be signing the document.
2. Stormwater covenant with accurate exhibits required prior to final.
a. The notarized copy shall be signed by the City inspector prior to recording.
