Garrett Dean with GEO Group Northwest, Inc. was on site at the above address on February 2, 2023 for the
following geotechnical inspections.
Observe and Monitor Excavations & Grading
We observed that earthwork continued at the site today. The demolition and removal of the lower retaining wall
that was encroaching into the right-of-way area south of 172nd St SW was continued and essentially completed,
save for a small portion near the utility vault at the site northwest property corner. Surplus site soils were exported
via truck. Most of the right-of-way was graded to a 2HAV slope at this time, per the project plans. No water
seepage was observed in the excavations at the site or during grading. An approximately 1-foot-wide strip of 1-1/2
inch clean, crushed rock was placed at the bottom of the right-of-way slope along the roadway as a means of
establishing a buffer from the roadway. In our opinion, the excavation and site soil conditions appear to be in
acceptable condition and stable at this time.
Erosion Control -Temporary
We did not observe flow of sediment -laden water off of the site. A silt fence was installed downslope of the
disturbed soils at the site; in combination with the non -woven filter fabric silt catch installed into the adjacent storm
utility, it is our opinion that temporary erosion controls for the site are acceptable at this time.
