A RESIDENTIAL SPACE, WITHIN ATHREE-STORY ASSISTED LIVING BUILDING. THE BUILDING IS
SITED WITHIN THE CITY OF EDMONDS (JURISDICTION), SNOHOMISH COUNTY, WASHINGTON.
MECHANICAL PERMIT: UNDER APPLICATION
RELATED ELECTRICAL PERMIT: UNDER SEPARATE PERMIT
GENERAL NOTES
1. COORDINATE ALL NEW WORK WITH STRUCTURE AND OTHER TRADES.
2. FIELD VERIFY UNIT LOCATIONS, DROPS AND POSITIONS.
3. ALL LINE VOLTAGE WORK SHALL BE INSTALLED BY AN LICENSED COMMERCIAL ELECTRICIAN.

PROVIDED BY ELECTRICALLY OPERATED UNITARY AIR CONDITIONERS PER TABLE
C403.2.3(2)A WITH A SEER OF 12.2, WHICH MATCHES THE MINIMUM REQUIREMENT OF 11.2
SEER FOR EQUIPMENT SIZE CATEGORY <65 MBH (UNITARY AIR CONDITIONERS, SPLIT
SYSTEM).
MECHANICAL SCOPE
THE PROJECT IS FOR THE REPLACEMENT OF ONE (1) EXISTING SPLIT SYSTEM AIR CONDITIONER
HVAC UNIT. THE EXISTING SYSTEM HAS REACHED THE END OF IT'S USEFUL LIFE. THE NEW
SYSTEM IS THE SAME TYPE AND SAME NOMINAL OUTPUT CAPACITY:
1. DEMO THE (1) OAC-1 EXISTING ROOFTOP HVAC UNIT 8c AIR CONDITIONER SERVING THE
MACHINE ROOM.
2. THE REMOVAL AND DISPOSAL OF THE EXISTING UNITS FROM BUILDING SHALL BE IN A
LAWFUL MANNER. RECLAIM EXISTING REFRIGERANT PER EPA STANDARDS; R-22 IS EXISTING
REFRIGERANT PER EQUIPMENT NAME PLATE DATA.
3. PROVIDE AND INSTALL ONE (1) ROOFTOP HP UNIT 8c (1) AIR CONDITIONER IN PLACE OF
THE EXISTING UNITS PER PLAN. NEW EQUIPMENT INCLUDES ELECTRIC DX COOLING, &
BASIC ELECTRO-MECHANICAL CONTROLS.
4. DISCONNECT AND RE -CONNECT REPLACEMENT OAC 8c IAC TO EXISTING ELECTRICAL
SERVICES. RE -USE EXISTING ELECTRICAL DISCONNECT WHERE PRACTICABLE. LINE VOLTAGE
WORK SHALL BE BY LICENSED COMMERCIAL ELECTRICIAN (UNDER SEPARATE PERMIT).
5. REUSE EXISTING THERMOSTAT AND CONTROL WIRING.
6. EQUIPMENT AND SYSTEM START-UP, TEST AND BALANCE, PROGRAMMING AND OWNER
TRAINING FOR NEW EQUIPMENT, 08cM MANUALS AND RECORD DRAWINGS.
7. THERE IS AN EXISTING f48" HIGH PERIMETER PARAPET WALL SURROUNDING ALL OF THE
