Based on your selections, the following information and requirements apply to your application.
Submittal Information
A RIGHT-OF-WAY CONSTRUCTION PERMIT IS REQUIRED prior to entry into the City right-of-way (ROW) by any
person for the purpose of excavation, construction, maintenance, or repair. Only a licensed, bonded contractor can
sign an application for a ROW permit.
CITY RIGHTS -OF -WAY: All public easements, licenses or other rights of entry owned by the City.
CODE: Edmonds Community Development Code (ECDC) Chapter 18.60
FEES: Permit Fee + Technology Fee
Inspection fee (each)
Additional fees may apply: Overlay penalty cut fee, sidewalk/parking/alley disruption/closure fees

Traffic Control Plan: Vehicular & Pedestrian (as applicable):
a. The Traffic Control Plan must comply with the Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices (MUTCD) requirements.
b. When applicable, one or more of the approve plans provided in the City Traffic Control Handout may be utilized.
c. All flaggers must be certified.
d. Signage is required to safely direct pedestrians to cross the street at the nearest intersection prior to the
sidewalk closure.
e. Lighted barricades required for nighttime sidewalk closures.
f. Lighted arrow boards are required on Edmonds Way and Highway 99.
Tree Removal: If tree removal is proposed, include the following on the site plan, and download any additional documentation as required in code
section ECDC 23.10;
a. Tree(s) for proposed removal shall be identified clearly on the site plan
b.Tree(s) to be retained shall be shown with tree protection measures.
c. Replacement trees if required shall also be shown on the site plan.

Application and Electronic Plans Submission Process
Once the application and plans are received, the engineering division will screen the submittal within two business days of receipt. There are
two possible outcomes for your application:
1. The submittal will be accepted, and an invoice will be sent to the applicant via email. Payment of submittal fees are due upon receipt of
the invoice.
2. The submittal will not be accepted, and an email will be sent to the applicant outlining what is required to complete the application. The
applicant will have 30 days to submit the requested documents through the MyBuildingPermit.com Plan Review Dashboard.
Re -submittals
• Include a response letter addressing each of the comments.
• Submit the revisions to Permit Processing, not the reviewer, through your MyBuildingPermit.com Dashboard by clicking Submit Additional
Files.
• If the permit has not been issued, submit a full plan set.

The property owner bears the responsibility for the accuracy and completeness of all information provided with or affecting the application submittal.
If the property contains or is adjacent to critical areas (streams and stream buffers, wetlands, floodplains, and geological hazard areas), additional
information may be required.
