-Drill; a 5/8 hole 4.5" in depth. Clean out concrete flour with a 3/4" bottle brush
aiul jc6rnpressed air. Continue to repeat the process till all the dust is removed.
The tube supplying the compressed air must reach to the bottom of the hole as
the air is injected.
-Use Simpson Set XP epoxy with mixing nozzles. Screw on nozzle and dispense
the epoxy into a receptacle until the epoxy is a uniform gray color. It can now
be used. Nozzle must also be placed into the bottom of the hole. Slowly
retrieve it as the epoxy is injected.
- Insert the clean and dry end of the stub steel into the hole now injected with
epoxy. Push, the bar in until it stops. Twist it a t/2 turn to insure total coverage.
- Once the epoxy is cured in 24 hrs, tie it into the footing steel.
-All rebar must have a minimum 24" lap. All angled bars must be bent with a
precision machine, similar to an Hitachi 16y rebar bender.
