The Amerex provides two series of restaurant wet chemical fire suppression systems - KP & ZD systems. The current project uses ZD (Zone of Defense) system/design and its "Zone of Protection" is created by the use of overlapping spray from multiple nozzles creating an area that is soaked by wet chemical agent. This is accomplished by placing Amerex ZD nozzles, part number 14178, in a straight line from one end of the hood to the opposite end. The nozzles are to be a maximum of 20 inches apart on center and must start and end at a point no greater than 6 inches from the end of the hood. The nozzles are to be located 46 to 51 inches above the top surface of the appliances and aimed straight down. The resulting "Zone of Protection" is a rectangular area 34" deep x length of hood with its front and rear edges 17" from the centerline of the nozzles. Plumbing Riser & Waste 3.1. WAC 51-56704.3 Commercial Sinks. Drainage Diagrams Except where specifically required to be connected indirectly to the drainage system, or when first approved by the authority having jurisdiction, all plumbing fixtures, drains, appurtenances, and appliances shall be directly connected to the drainage system of the building or premises. 3.2. UPC 20181004.0 Traps. 1004.1 Prohibited. No form of trap that depends for its seal upon the action of movable parts shall be used. No trap that has concealed interior partitions, except those of plastic, glass, or similar corrosion -resisting material, shall be used. "S" traps, bell traps, and crown -vented traps shall be prohibited. No fixture shall be double trapped. Drum and bottle traps shall be installed for special conditions. No trap shall be installed without a vent, except as otherwise provided in this code. 3.3. NFPA 11292.5.2.4.1 Containers shall be secured in place so they do not become dislodged when a load equal to eight times the container's filled weight is applied to the filled container's center of gravity in any direction. 4.4. LPG supply lines tested before and after appliance installation to comply with WAC 296-15OV-1450 and -1460. 4.5. WAC 296-15OV-1400 (1) All gas piping must be adequately supported by galvanized or equivalently protected metal straps or hangers at intervals of not more than 4 feet, except where adequate support and protection is provided by structural members. NFPA 58 6.24.8.1 Mobile units including mobile kitchens and catering vehicles that contain hot Perspective View plates and other cooking equipment shall be provided with at least one approved portable fire extinguisher rated in accordance with NFPA 10, Standard for Portable Fire Extinguishers, at not less than 10-B:C. 5.2.
