The following changes have been made to the roof and driveway drainage: The proposed SFR (3,892 sf w/overhang) is classified as non -pollution generating impervious surface (NPGIS). The proposed SFR will be located in the central portion of the parcel. Storm water run-off from the proposed SFR will collect in downspouts and be conveyed to infiltration trenches. The northern proposed infiltration trench is approximately 20 ft long by 8 ft wide by 8 ft deep, based off the 48 CY of fill used as reported by the contractor. The southern proposed infiltration trench is approximately 10 ft long by 8 ft wide by 8 ft deep, based off the 24 CY of fill used as reported by the contractor. WWHM2012 was used to analyze storm water run-off from the proposed SFR and calculate the increase of peak flow rates (Refer to Attached V;V;HM2012 Site Calculations). An infiltration rate of 1.2 in/hr was used per the Wall Design and Limited Infiltration Evaluation prepared by Cobalt Geosciences on October 11, 2021. WWHM2012 indicates that the infiltration trenches will infiltrate 100% of runoff from the roof into the existing ground. The proposed concrete driveway/parking area (1,605 sf) is classified as pollution generating impervious surface (PGIS). The proposed driveway/parking area will take access from Olympic Ave. Storm water run-off from the driveway/parking area will sheet flow to the northwest and collect in a yard basin. The yard basin will tightline west to a proposed dispersion trench. Proposed vegetation (lawn), amended soil, and a minimum 25 ft flowpath through the vegetation will ensure water treatment and quality per SMMWW Volume V, Section 5.3.1 BMP T5.13. WWHM2012 was used to analyze the volume of storm water from the proposed driveway entering the dispersion trench. The concrete driveway/parking area is expected to have a peak flow rate (100 year return period) of 0.037 CFS (Refer to attached VvIW IMM12 Dispersion Trench Calculations). The proposed infiltration trenches were analyzed using Western Washington Hydrology Model 2012 which indicated 100% infiltration of the stormwater runoff from the proposed SFRs. Any overflow that seeps up out of the ground will flow west over vegetated lawn with mild slopes. The flowpaths from the proposed infiltration trenches to the downstream property lines range from approximately 25 to 50 ft (See Construction Plans, sheet C4). Surface water which leaves the site flows west approximately 300 ft and collects in Hindley Creek (See attached Downstream Area Map). The stream continues northwest approximately 800 k then west beyond a distance of % mile from the project site, before joining with Shell Creek which discharges to Puget Sound. The downstream area consists of SFR lots with lawn. The proposed infiltration trenches are not expected to have a negative impact to downstream properties. Elden D.
